What is your Summer sport?

If you associate Summer holidays with lying on a beach or by a pool with the opportunity to try out a new water sport you will find just what you are looking for in the French Alps. We have swimming pools of varying sizes, lakes with beaches and rivers to kayak or raft. What we don't have are the hordes of people vying for the best spots. We also have so much more for an active fun packed holiday whethter it is persuing your favoured spot or trying something new. If it is two wheels that interest you then we have some of the best natural mountain biking here in Vallandry and with so many Col's nearby there is plenty to challenge the road bikers too. If climbing is your thing there are any number of famous climbs or via ferrata within the Vanoise National park and parcours will have you in the tree tops or on the zip wires. Hiking can take on a completely new dimension too from following one of the Grand Routes and staying over night in a mountain refuge to ice climbing on a glacier. Then there is, of course the skies up above for more adrenalin based sports from paragliding to hang gliding it all takes place over Vallandry.

It doesn't have to be all high octane activity there are many other sports and pastimes to persue. Perhaps you enjoy well being and the opportunity of a pamper at a spa or yoga and relaxation. A game of giant chess or ping pong? With 18 holes of golf at Arc 1800 or the newer Frisbee golf in Vallandry there is something to keep you busy every day whatever your sport or game. Want to try something new without being scared? How about archery or learning to play a traditional Alpine horn? There really is something for everyone, whatever your age and whatever your sport. Leave the crowds behind next Summer and discover for yourself the amazing array of sports, games and activities on offer during a Summer holiday in the Alps.
