In the heart of the Les Arcs ski region is the village of Vallandry. One of six villages that make up this ski region, it is perfectly placed on the mountainside offering doorstep skiing and an idyllic loaction set within the pine trees.
Tignes, Les Brevieres, France
Tignes and its sister resort Val d'Isere form the region known as the Espace Killy, which has become France's most snow sure and popular resort.
The village of Les Brevieres is one of the original five villages that make up the Tignes area. Situated just below the famous Tignes dam that was constructed shortly after the second world war its altitude is still an impressive 1550m.
Bovec, Slovenia (Former Yugoslavia)
Bovec is a genuine Alpine centre, its special position it’s the world famous Suca Valley surrounded by the semiglacier peaks of the Kanin Ski Centre, this year newly linked to the Italian resort of Sella Nevea, has created a mountain destination second to none with over a 100 km of piste and skiing in 3 different countries with a huge untapped backcountry ski area. All this topped off with some of Europe’s wildest mountain river activities; no wonder the area is often referred to as Europe’s answer to Queenstown New Zealand.
